THE DUO PREPARATION GUIDE

Give each performer a clear role.

The Hotel Lobby format is recognizable because the frame is spare: an orange backdrop, a hanging microphone and two performers trading gestures and attention. In a new-character edit, keeping those two identities separate matters more than adding a complicated prompt.

1. Pick two readable appearances

Use one subject per image, with a visible face or muzzle, recognizable outfit and enough body information. Original characters can work alongside each other. For identifiable people, both subjects must be consenting adults. Avoid tiny group-photo crops, heavy obstruction and conflicting outfits across references.

2. Check the left/right assignment

The left photo belongs to the original left performer; the right photo belongs to the original right performer. Use Swap positions before saving if you want the opposite pairing. The Nano Banana 2 appearance sheet keeps two separate character columns, and both original images remain identity references for Wan 3.0.

3. Choose a short reference take

The 15-second reference includes the pointing gesture, palm movements and a turn away from the microphone. The compact 8-second version follows the later exchange. These are performance-reference clips, not proof of a generated result. The source is Quavo and Takeoff’s A COLORS SHOW appearance.

4. Leave space for the duo

16:9 is the default because it gives two performers room around the microphone. 9:16, 3:4 and 4:3 are also available; a narrower frame may need a wider camera interpretation. A selected ratio does not guarantee that hands, feet or every reference detail remain visible.

5. Review a real result before sharing

Check for blended faces, exchanged outfits, swapped sides, extra performers and unnatural contact with the microphone. Listen to the complete soundtrack. The workflow restores a matching reference excerpt, without cloning a new voice, and the relevant music permissions still apply.
